Mrs. Rebecca Scott, one of the best known of the older residents of the city died at her home on South Grant avenue, shortly before 4 o'clock Wednesday aftenroon.

Her death followed an extended illness with complications. Mrs. Scott had been an uncomplaining sufferer with arthritis for many years.

Her death occurred in the home where she went as the bride of John H. Scott, who died February 13, 1903. She was known as a devoted wife and mother and a kind and considerated neighbor. Mrs. Scott was a member of the Christian Church and as long a sher health permitted she was a faithful worker for the church

She leaves the following children: Mrs. Minnie Schlater of New York City; Frank Scott of Los Angeles, Calif; and Mrs. Nanette Jackson and Mrs. Helen Teague of this city. A brother, Silas Long, the last member of his family and a granddaughter Miss Dorothy Teague at home also survive. - kbz
